About the painting
Lunchtime Lovers is one of Vettriano's most suggestive titles. It hints at a stolen hour in the middle of the working day, a meeting kept secret from colleagues and partners. Secret affairs are a recurring subject in his work, and he painted them without judgement, more interested in the mix of excitement, guilt and longing involved.
It is one of the images collectors most closely associate with his storytelling style, and it suits a private room such as a study or bedroom.
About this edition
The edition is limited to 125 prints plus 15 Artist's Proofs on 300gsm museum etching paper, each signed and numbered by Jack Vettriano and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. The image measures 39 x 31 cm, with a mount size of 62 x 52 cm.
