About the portrait
Ian McIlgorm photographed Jack Vettriano during a sitting at the artist's London home. The portrait was shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize in November 2017 and was then exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery.
For collectors of Vettriano's paintings it is an unusual piece: a portrait of the painter himself, signed by both the artist and the photographer, and a natural companion to his prints.
About this edition
The edition is limited to just 50 giclée prints on 300gsm museum etching paper, each numbered and signed by both Jack Vettriano and Ian McIlgorm. The image measures 52.5 x 34 cm, with a mount size of 77.5 x 57 cm.
